Impact: Looked sharp. Scored the final goal with a right-footed shot under the keeper following a magnificent run from Gudmundsson.

Quotes:He played well for his first time and I’m pleased that he could score. We knew they’d have a gap in the defence because Wigan sent a lot of players to attack and I know that we’d have the quality to use the gap and score and I’m happy that we did it”. GL

I was just pleased that the team was winning and a goal was a bonus. It’s down to Johann that I scored. If I was in that position I probably would have shot, but I thank him for that. As soon as I knew Charlton were interested I rang up to say I’d come down for free. I was dying to come down, it’s been a bit of a dream week” CE
